access to fresh water pump
What is the best access point to get to the fresh water pump in a 369rl? Mine is very noisy and I want to see if there is a simple way to quiet it down such as softening the mounts. Your help and/or suggestions are much appreciated.
Thank you and keep up the good work on these fine units.

Re: access to fresh water pump
Hi Andy (@thompsons 369rl),
Thanks, we work really hard to try to get it right! On the Solitude 369RL, inside the large, pass-through compartment directly behind the utility center (which located on the road-side) there is a covered access panel. Unscrew the access panel to remove it. The water pump will be located immediately to the left, mounted down on the floor. The water pump has rubber feet and my suggestion to help reduce the noise you are describing is to screw two more screws into the mounting feet (for a total of four screws holding the water pump in place). Please do not add more material to this area as there are appliances also installed in there that require a certain amount of air flow and they must not be blocked for both your safety and for operating efficiency reasons.
While the covered access panel is removed, I also suggest checking the re-usable water filter attached to the water pump. The water pump water filter does require periodic cleaning (as part of your normal maintenance) as it helps trap some of the sediment and other debris coming into the fresh water system.
Please note that adding these additional screws should help reduce the noise, but keep in mind that it is considered normal to hear noise when the water pump runs. Hope this helps, and please feel free to contact our Customer Service department directly at (574) 825-8000 if we can be of further assistance.
Thanks,

Re: access to fresh water pump
It bothered me too at first. I was able to eliminate all the noise by suspending it from the top of the compartment. I decided while this fixed the noise it created possible other issues while traveling." I believe I just heard Janice CRINGE!" Another thought is to always listen to the pump...if the sound changes, somethings not right. Just my two cents.

Re: access to fresh water pump
Well.......I won't be suspending the pump, however, I did find that two of the 4 mounting screws holding the pump to the wood block were loose. Tightened them and it made a slight improvement. I may try adding a thin 1/4 inch layer of neoprene foam between the block and pump. If that doesn't help, I'm done and will live with the noise. Will let you know how it goes. GO SEAHAWKS!!!
Update: Installed the 1/4" pads. No difference. Operationally fine. All sounds fine from the cargo bay but there must be something vibrating up stream somewhere. Annoying from the bathroom/bedroom area but fine aft of there. We'll live with it.Andy & Julie
