PEX Water Line Size, Recommended Spare Fittings, PEX Tips

I'm looking for info on the PEX water lines and fittings used in Reflection 5th wheel.
Size of water lines, 1/2" I'm guessing
Sharkbite fittings vs clamps and crimping tool.
What kind of fittings/line to have on hand during a trip.

    Thanks,

    Gene

Ive keep the crimp tool and bands on hand. Typically purchase Sharkbite fittings as needed. Good luck!

I actually don't carry any of it with me. But if I need to do a repair, I'll swing by the local hardware store wherever I am and purchase Shark Bite fittings. They are very common and most hardware stores carry a good selection. If I'm at home, I have a large crimping tool and bands on hand for repairs.

Just don't use the sharkbite's on the flexible water lines as they are not Pex. They are a heater hose type (and not easily found outside the RV world). A pex fitting will fit over these lines but within a short period of time the hose will develop a huge bubble and burst. I know that from personal experience

I carry a PEX cinch clamp tool, a couple straight and 90* fittings, clamps and a 2' section of blue and red PEX tubing. May be overkill, but I have had a leak and wished for the materials.

    Thanks for the replies.

I think I'll go with the stainless steel cinch clamps which remind me of CV joint boot clamps.

    Any crimp tool likes?

I see the red and blue water lines and assume they are the PEX lines.

What are the other flexible lines in the FW that aren't PEX?

On my 27RL, some of the lines are Pex and some are of that heater tubing. Maybe your lines are all Pex which is a good thing.

    Thanks,
Good to know in case I see a line that doesn't look like PEX or braided vinyl.

The heater hose (my terminology) has a white interior but the exterior may be red or blue colored. So that's an easy way to ID it. Also it is much more flexible than real Pex.

So what connectors should be used on the "colored heater hose"?
