valve stems
I'm looking at tire pressure systems, and my 337 is in storage. Can anyone tell me if the valve stems are rubber or metal?
Thanks,

Switched to metal when the TPMS flow thru sensors were installed, then had the tires balanced ...makes for a smoother ride.

I've been running TireMinder sensors on rubber stems for thousands of miles without a problem. Can't explain why others have had problems and I haven't . . . .

Tire Minder weighs less than the equivalent TST version. Tire Minder states that rubber valve stems are acceptable on certain models. TST recommends metal valve stems on all models.

Done at Discount Tire when we upgraded to 16" wheels and tires. Most locations have plenty of room for a trailer and you can make an appointment on-line for the work.

Heck, Ron never said anything about changing because of TPMS. Maybe he's just like me and always wants steel stems on his wheels! I immediately changed them on my Reflection and the first day I owned my new truck I had those changed as well.
Now maybe that's why Ron is asking but he never said that ... sometimes these forums just drive me crazy how they get off track so fast.
Okay, off my soap box. At least it's better than FB where this kind of stuff is absolutely off the wall.Paul "Poppy" and Deb Cervone
