Vinyl floor repair
The dealer did the recall repair on my 2950RL Friday. We took it on the first trip this weekend. Long story short, it appears the dealer removed the theater seating to complete the repair. When they reinstalled it they ran 2 screws through the slide floor. When we ran the slide in and out it tore the floor. . Has anyone had to fix a vinyl floor? What are my options? In a perfect world I think the whole floor should be replaced, but I don't think that's doable.

Hello,
I would try a heat gun to slowly soften it and then use a metal roller of some type to make it flat. Hopefully it won't yellow it or change color from the heat. If you can't find a roller maybe a small ball peen hammer and gently tap the surface.
Hope it works,

The flooring material is repairable.
The dealer that did it should be responsible to fix it.Steve- Inventory Manager at Tom Schaeffer's RV, Shoemakersville, PA www.tomschaeffers.com

Over the last few years, there have been a few posts related to torn flooring. Some of them were much worse than yours. I believe the final outcome of all of them was that the dealerships patched in the new flooring and the repair was undetectable. I'd work with your dealership and make sure they have an experienced technician who can repair the damage. If not, I'd call GD customer service for guidance on how to proceed.

I talked to the dealer today. They have someone who repairs vinyl floors for them. I've not heard of repairing vinyl floors. I'm on their schedule to fix the floor and a couple other warranty items. F. Y. I. the dealer didn't have the theater seating out. The fix for the slide recall must have changed the way the slide moves. If you have a slide with furniture in it, you might want to crawl under it and make sure there aren't any screws protruding from the bottom of the slide.

Just bought our GD2950RL a couple months ago and the first time we walked in it barefooted we felt a tear in the floor. Took it back to dealer for repair. Same problem screws were too long and cut the floor. At this time they are planning to spot repair Have not got the back yet. Hoping they get it repaired correctly.
