Fence post hose holder mod completed!

This is a great mod for those looking for someplace to store a RhinoFlex hose and all the fittings.

You can barely see it from a side view:

Pretty easy to do and not really expensive:

I think I could have made mine about 3" longer overall. The all thread is right against the latch.
Doesn't cause any issue though. I love that it swallows the RhinoFlex + fittings (including the see thru elbow).

    Nice work Mike.

I have 3 on mine for everything from the sewer hose to my flag pole, ladder, hiking poles and fishing rods.

Is it difficult to get your hoses out? I was thinking of doing it on the frame next to where you did it so it was lower than the side of the camper. Saw on Facebook where somebody did it there.

Not terribly difficult. if you are a tall guy like me, you will be getting on your knees to access it.

Nice mid. I assume you mounted this near the drop drone storage?

I did. It's right behind the A frame for the hitch. We did our first trip with it last weekend and it worked fantastic. Counter to my expectation, I did not have to get down on my knees to access it, which was a win in my book!

Ahhh what parts did you use for this setup? Post size? Cap? Etc...

New to travel trailers and looking to do some easy mods. [emoji2]

All parts purchased at Lowe's Hardware.

    (1) 5" x 5" x 96" plastic fence post
    (2) 5" x 5" fence post caps
    (4) 1/4" beam clamps
    (2) hinges (size / type up to you)
    (2) latches (size / type up to you)
    (1) 3' x 1/4" all thread (if you go lower down, you may need 2 sticks)
    (8) 1/4" lock nuts
    (8) 1/4" flat washers
    (1) 4' stick "aluminum trim channel for 3/4" plywood". This is aluminum "C" channel
Some way to fasten hinges / latches to fence post. I used 1/8" aluminum pop rivets.
Semi gloss plastic compatible paint if you want.

I think that's it. There are several threads on this board about building these things. The first that I recall is from "Poppy". Do a search if you want more info.
