    Slides

Well, the maiden voyage was a great time. 4 days/5 nights getting to know our new home on wheels. Everything worked as advertised. We will put it through more this weekend as the temp is supposed to get down in the 20s. We are well pleased so far. But I have a question to the Tech guys of GD. It seems we cannot get the kitchen table and bedroom slides to close fully. They fridge slide closes flush like one would expect but the other two pull closed until the seals touch --but just BARELY. There is about a 3 fingers gap at the bottom. The top? Great...snugs up great. We took it by the dealer. He said that is normal as the motor and gears pull that part of the slide nearest to them in first. Hmmm.....the other slide fits right. Anybody have any thoughts?

Sorry to hear that you're having an issue with the slides. The answer the dealer gave you is nonsense...think he was saying that they didn't want to work on it. The gap around the exterior or interior of the slide should be even with the seals compressed. The bedroom and the door side slide are different style slide drive but adjustable by the dealer. I had the non door side big slide adjusted during the PDI as it had too much gap on the lower front corner.

I agree with Happy Camper. The dealer gave you a bad answer. The slide should definately be adjusted.
