    Chevy 2500 SRW Duramax

Is my 2500 Duramax SRW going to be able to tow our new Solitude 379fl? Dry weight is 13800 and hitch weight is 3000.

I believe that the dry pin weight would put your truck over it's RAWR and that's before you load anything in the camper...that would probably add about 300 -500 lbs to the pin weight. You're pretty much in 1 ton dually territory with that pin weight IMHO.

You will be closer to 3500lbs when you are loaded.

There really isn't a 2500 truck out there that is safe with that much pin weight.

The truck is 2006. I have some time so I think it would be wise to find a 3500 dually. Thanks for the input.

Ta4dice, did you get a different truck? In your signature you stated having a dually already.
