Adding 12V to bedroom on 2800BH

Anyone added 12V to their bedroom? Where did you add the power tap?

I have tapped into the light wiring to add LED lighting to nearby cabinets. GDRV seems to wire these lights with much heavier gauge wiring than the lights need. For charging electronic devices, you should have no problem.

If you dry camp then you know the reason. You need 12Vto charge USB devices, and the big round plug is certainly handy for circulating fans.

I wish the trailer had several, though I notice this before I bought the trailer.

What I have noticed is that adding a 12V circuit to driver's side bedroom might not be that difficult. The utility pylon is on that side, 12V is in that area, and since the driver's side bedroom already lacks 120VAC on that side, it should no be that difficult to add it there.

The power converter has 2 spare DC taps in the 2800. Too bad there aren't any spare wires running into the bedroom. Still I think it is possible to run these to wall plate in the galley area.

    Thoughts?

The other thing we thought of doing is getting a portable 12V self-contained jumper. Many now sport USB connectors. This would allow powering our fans and such and could be recharged when on gensets or shore power.
