Surge and electrical protection
Does anyone know if the solitude comes with a 50 amp surge protector and power protector? The salesman said it did but I also read somewhere that someone was installing a 50 amp surge protector?

I can confirm that they do not. I installed one directly behind the fuse box as it seemed to be the easiest and less obtrusive place to put it.

Re: Surge and electrical protection
Hi Egork71,
I'm thinking this is the best location for the hardwired surge protector on our Reflection 337. Can I ask which surge protector you installed? I'm looking at the Progressive Industries 50 amp unit with the remote display.
Thanks,

I used a 50A Surge Guard. Model #34560. I had this same unit in my last 5th Wheel as well and had saved me a couple of times.

Re: Surge and electrical protection
Everyone I know say they installed the progressive 50 amp hardwired. I have it and will be ready to install it on the solitude when it comes in. It explains how to install it. Plus folks in my present group posted pictures of how to do it. Real simple but you will need some extra wire from the output side to your panel. Not difficult.
