Water heater drain
I think I just cost myself a bunch of money. I have a 2021 GD 311BHS, with the Dometic WH-6GEA water heater (tank version). I’ve seen a bunch of photos/threads showing a small hose with a valve on the end of the drain to help quickly drain the tank. You have to remove the metal nipple and replace it with a plastic nipple to prevent cross metal contamination. I went to remove the 1/2” threaded nipple to replace it with a plastic nipple to allow a metal hose and no luck. I have tried multiple angles and multiple size wrenches with no success. I’ve had some good “bites” and just continue to destroy the threads. From the research I have done, this water heater is a newer model so there is little to no documentation. I’m not sure how far I want to get into removing the outer panel to see how the nipple is attached to the tank. Any advice?

Water heater drain
Why are you bothering with all this?
I have heard it empties completely opening the low point drains
