    Are your compartment keys CH751?

I did not think much about my storage compartment keys until I noticed that they are identical to the keys for my Torklift battery box. A quick Google search suggests these keys are extremely, extremely common. I am curious, how many Grand Design owners all have the same locks? LOL!

Yep I'm on there right now, planning to do exactly that, get matching locks for the entry door.

I'm glad to know this information, at least I can do something to mitigate it before finding out the hard way.

That any remotely competent thief could just walk up, open the compartment and take what they like, and then lock it back up like nothing happened. Locks aren't going to stop someone who is a little motivated, but I'd rather not make it as easy for them as it is for me to get into the compartment.

It's actually slightly more annoying that the battery box uses the same code. Torklift sells the box specifically for expensive lithium batteries and then provides the single most common key in the world...

We replaced ours with the matching key to the rig. Easy, quick and not expensive.

I could still open the compartment up in under 2 seconds with a small screwdriver and no one would notice
I never worry about such things

    Maybe a boondocking issue

Yep. Easier for a thief to open it with a screwdriver than a key. And then you have a door to replace in addition to the stuff.
