Thanks Howard. Our camper is kept in a storage lot and I do not have ready access to the manuals. My wheels call for 120-130 based on your chart. Appreciate it!!

timlisajax - I would double check that. 120-130 is only for 9/16" studs. I suspect you have 1/2" (which are 90~120 lb-ft), not 9/16" studs. Please correct me if I am wrong.

USA made tires are much better choice than anything from China, go with Goodyear.

I had a set of Goodyear Endurance tires put on our rig in May and I routinely tow our 5er at 75-80 mph.
We've put about 1600 miles on them in 3 months, no issues.

I have the Goodyear Endurance's on my 399TH. I've done about 7k miles with them and had zero issues. They're holding up well.

Goodyear endurance: assuming they would fit I would go to 255/85/16. 4079# rated @80psi, USA made, and about an 1 1/2" taller adding 3/4" to the trailer height helping with these tall truck beds. But only 10ply e rated and fairly new so no track record

Sailuns: same 4080# rated but at 110PSI, Chinese made but by all accounts a very good tire, OEM size only (can't get the extra height), but 14 ply g rated

Both have a speed rating plenty high enough. Goodyear is higher but I'll never tow at 87mph.

Could go with the G614's but I don't see the advantage considering they cost more than twice the Sailun's

Done plenty of research but can't seem to make the call.

    Thanks,
    Jim
At the same loading the tire pressures between the two is 30psi higher on the Sailuns which will translate more force and vibration to the suspension components and coach. I would go with the US made Goodyear's.

CoChris - Thanks for the heads up. I did check and you are correct - 1/2" studs. I torqued em to 110. We used to have a NewMar Cypress and that had LRG tires and 7K axles. For some reason those numbers stayed in my head. Thanks again.

I agree, for all we know Westlakes and Sailun are made in the same Chinese factory with just a different label.

Apparently, you're not much for research. Westlakes are made by Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Co. who's brand names include Chaoyang, Goodride, Westlake, Arisun and Trazano.

Sailun Tires are made by Triangle Tyre, which has supply partnerships with Caterpillar, Volvo, and Goodyear. It's main market is in the big stuff for mining, construction, and other industrial uses. Their all-position tires are a favorite among commercial trucking fleets in the US. I don't think fleets would run a tire that is more trouble than it's worth.

In addition, the Goodyear Endurance trailer tires only come in load ranges D and E. If you need load range G or H, you'll have to go with something else.
