I notice from pic #4 that you guys are fellow Coloradans. Did this happen at a local campground?

I had noticed he bought at Windish as well. The first line in his post says the damage occurred in Oregon on the road.

Wow, that would be a major disappointment. Are you sure you didn't catch the rear during a tail swing and being on shoulder? Just curious.

    Best to you!

We are from CO and did buy at Windish, but the damage happened while on a road trip to Oregon.

Not exactly sure where the damage occurred since we didn't notice it until we pulled into the campground. The real point of my posting is to warn others that if the flimsy triangle folds up from dragging that the rear panel can catch and rip open like ours did. There are two design flaws that led to the damage:1, the skid triangles are undersized and had a bad weld allowing it to break and fold flat. This led to number 2, the body panel hangs below the structural frame allowing it to catch and rip open.

The real solution that I can see, unfortunately in hindsight for me, is to add some rollers or other skid protection at the rear to protect the rear panel from dragging.

The gen exhaust pipe and sewer dump pipe are really low to the ground as folks have mentioned. Definitely not a rig to be taking over rough or heavily rutted roads.

Who decided to put the skid rollers on their rigs?

Which one did you do? 2.25 or 3"? Thanks, KEN

I'm thinking about going with the 2" ones. That would give one more inch before the rollers touched. KEN

After reading this thread last year I decided to put these rollers on. Very thankful that I did. In March while we were traveling through Arizona after leaving a service station the rear of the trailer drug on the rollers. The rollers did exactly what they are supposed to do. They got scuffed a little bit but that was it, no damage to the trailer whatsoever.

A little pricey, but they do work. Anyone with a 376TH or the sister Solitude model should do this modification.

FYI: Most who have done this modification have installed 4 rollers. I went with only 3. After dragging it once (maybe twice) I found no evidence that I needed 4.

Ken my thinking was that with this heavy of weight I wanted the larger bearings....that's why I went with the larger rollers.

My 17 376 came with pretty heavy duty skid plates, but after the first year I had worn through the bottom. I asked the dealer to fix them when I took my 376 in for warranty work. Of course they were not covered by warranty. The dealer put rollers on to "fix" the problem. I first I was a little ticked because the dealer didn't do what I asked, but after some reflection I am happy that they put the rollers on instead of just welding more metal on, it's worked out a lot better.
