Refrigerator Temperature Monitoring - Norcold 1210
I'm going to use a few wireless temperature probes in my FW for frig & freezer section, basement, etc.
Was wondering if the Norcold has a small hole that I could run one of the probe wires through to avoid some wires going under the door seals.
I use these at home & do just that on kitchen, garage frig & freezer. On mini frig got one probe up through bottom water drain hole.
I use the Ambient Weather WS-110 8 channel so I can watch temperatures in house, garage, storage bldg, little greenhouse.
Temperature works pretty well and shows the high/low for the day, scans thru the channels or can leave on one if want to.
Humidity readings are way off, just give a general idea.

I don't know about a hole...
I just put the whole wireless unit inside the fridge... most of those type units can withstand temps down to Zero degrees and lower.
The base unit would only few feet away so the radio waves would pass thru the fridge and freezer. With it inside when we opened the door to get something we would always glance at that too.

I tried the AcuRite 00986 for my garage frig & freezer a few years ago.
I returned it because when it lost wireless signal, it just kept the last temperature reading before signal loss on the display but didn't let me know it lost the signal. Also I had trouble getting it to reaquire the signal automatically.

I also use an AcuRite wireless thermometer. Hint - use lithium batteries for cold temps in the sending unit. And the lithiums last a lot longer too.

+1 on using Lithium batteries, and they don't leak acid into your devices like the alkaline batteries
