New 2018 Grand Design 303RLS with big fridge
Just picked up our brand new 5th Wheel model 303RLS. It has the new for 2018 four door fridge option. After owning both a 2012 Montana High Country and a 2014 Keystone Alpine 40 ft 5th wheels I can't begin to say how impressed I am with this Grand Design. We did not need a large 5th wheel anymore for Florida winter living so we sold the Alpine and looked at all the brands over the last year for a high quality well optioned 30 ft 5th wheel. We certainly found it in the GD 303. After a few days of camping we have not had any issues with it unlike the Keystone products. We have found the trailer is well thought out, a very roomy and functional layout and the fit and finish detail is simply excellent. It towed behind our 2016 GMC 2500HD diesel like it wasn't even there. In researching which brand and model to buy we were in contact with Greg Cody at the GD factory. We found him to be most helpful in assisting us in our search. Overall we are extremely pleased with our decision to buy a Grand Design product and in particular this model 303 5th wheel.

We were just told by dealer in Iowa that we can't get the bigger 4 door fridge on 303rls. How did you get it?

The newest versions of the 303 do allow for the larger refer. They redesigned the kitchen with a small pantry next to the refer to allow for the additional space needed.

What hitch do you have in your 2500hd? I am trying to pick a hitch for my setup. I bought the 2018 303rls and a 2500hd high country diesel.

Plenty of comments about this!!. there are many previous comments already on the forum if you search. I have the AUH with B&W turnover ball, AUH ball to the cab side, middle hole. Works perfectly and easy to move in and out. With the beautiful high country Chev. diesel you bought, your payload might be similar to my Denali (low) so to some, the lighter weight is a factor. Many here on the forum dislike and or hate this hitch but it has shown to be working well for us. My truck and trailer is fairly level at this position and 6"-7" bed rail clearance.

You can see in our signature we have a Superglide autoslider hitch in our 2500HD pulling a 303 as well. Excellent match for not having to worry about making contact with the rear of cab in those more severe and usually rare turning circumstances........but it only takes once to possibly ruin your day and use that insurance and/or have the CFO (DW) possibly write some big checks.
As GCL mentioned, there are several threads on hitch questions and if you do a search on a key word or words which most fit your questions/areas to learn, you will find many excellent posts. If you need help, let us know and we will do our best.
