Who’s towing a 2670MK w/F150
I have a 2017 Screw, 4x4, Eco Boost, 3.55, 36 gallon, 145” WB, Max Tow, 7000# GVWR Package, GCWR = 16,900, Curb = 5720, Payload 1434
What year -
Towing level -
GVWR =
GCWR =
Curb =
Payload =
Make and Model of WDH
How does it tow, how is it in windy conditions, would you rather have a different Tow Vehicle, general thoughts…?

I hope somebody answers your questions Rtraviator. But I'm curious. On your F150, what size tires and what load range are they? One of the biggest factors I've seen recently for successful travel trailer towing with a F150 is whether they have p-metric passenger tires or "truck" tires.

IMHO a 2670 is pushing the limits of an F150 unless it's the max payload version. I have "P" tires on mine & run the rears at 40PSI, fronts 35PSI when towing.

I had a 2013 F150 Supercrew, ecoboost, max tow, which had a rating of 11,100#. Payload was 1765.
I pulled a Jayco Eagle 314BDS with a dry weight of 7990 and dragging down the road at 9000. It pulled it like a dream.2018 Reflection 28BH

I admit I have zero experience towing a large TT, my towing experience is a 5x8 utility trailer... I'm just wanting to understand your reasoning. F150+driver+passenger+hitch+cargo = 6285 that leaves 870 payload for F150, though the more limiting/restrictive factor would be 715, which is 7000 (GVWR) - 6285 = 715. The 2670 has a UVW of 6561 lets add 1000 pounds of cargo (which is over kill) = 7561 +6285 = 13846 that leaves 3054 before hitting the GCVWR of 16900. The hitch weight of the 2670 is 642. Thanks!

rtraviator - this is not really going to help, because you already have your F150 . . . but when you see an F150 comfortably towing a 10,000 lb trailer this is likely because it has the "heavy payload" package. As I have noted before, this seems to be one of Ford's best kept secrets because the dealers don't even seem to know about it although it is right there in the sales brochure. This gets you LT truck tires & stronger wheels, heavier rear suspension & rear axle plus a 3.73 axle ratio. For a crew cab 4x4, payload will be about 2600 lbs. Heavy Payload can be ordered with the 5L V8, but the best engine for towing is the Ecoboost.

Thanks Rob! I've been a helicopter pilot for almost 30 years, we live by numerical limitations. When the range is in the green - you're good, yellow - caution, be aware and red - you're outside of normal operating range. Considering strictly numbers from the numerous Ford literature products, it seems like the 2670 is easily doable. Again, I have no practical experience towing, only applying numerical limitations to stay within safe operating range.

Glad to see you're running your weights & balance checks.....
One thing to consider - the tongue weight is cantilevered over the rear axle, so the rear axle will see more weight than the actual tongue weight, and the front axle will unload and weigh less. Last I knew Ford says you can adjust your weight bars to put 1/2 the difference in the front axle weights back on the front axle.
What's the rear axle rating on your truck?2019 F-250 Supercab

I think you would be well over on the GVWR, it is what gets you. The tongue weight will be way higher. Never put much stock in published tongue weight, all of the manufactures publish low, actual weight can run 150lbs higher. I just bought a 2150RB last month. Just got out whole rig weighed last week. I am at 6500lbs GVWR, it is just the two of us and we are not big people. There is no way I could tow a 2670 with my F150.
