The new floor plan with the kitchen in the back will have a lower pin weight that a rear living room model. The storage in the kitchen will offset some of the storage forward of the axles with in rear living room most off the storeage is over and forward of the axles.

The 230 has cabinets above the rear window that can be loaded down. The kitchen area on the 230 is basically sitting on top of the axles so items stored there won't add much (if any) to the pin weight. Most that have kitchens in the rear don't like them because all of your food and dishes going flying about every time you hit a bump.
Sitting in the lounge with it's straight back and trying to relax and watch TV takes the 220rk automatically off of my listDonald AKA johndeerefarmer

Toy hauler guys say about 10% of the weight in the garage comes off the pin weight so I guess 100 lbs in the upper cabinets would take 10 lbs off the pin. But in the 230 the bedroom, bathroom and basement storage area in forward of the axles with large percentage of that going to the pin weight. In all the case that I have seen with a true CAT scale tickets on the rear living models about 30 to 50% of total weight added went to the pin. I have seen the front living room scales weight .4% decrease with the bedroom and bathroom aft of the wheels and front basement less than 28 inches wide. As a rule as pin weights percentages get lower the worse it tows.
I agree you have to packing a rear kitchen little different than mid kitchen and it a learning curve that I had learn since my first TT was rear kitchen.
Glad I out the mess since now I have a 41 foot Class A diesel pusher with air ride and cargo capacity of 5700 lbs. Like riding on a cloud looking out a huge picture window.....
