Product Eval 6 foot Folding Ladder

Gotta plug another product. We recently purchased a 6 foot folding ladder to carry in the RV.
Product - GP Logistics SLDS6 Ladder - collapses into @ the size of a 4x4 wood fence post.

Well built, aluminum construction, light weight, seems really sturdy, easy to use, storage footprint minimal in the cubby hole of our 2950RL.

Camping world sells for @ $149 , bought ours on Amazon for under $100.

Makes reaching our awning material and installing flappers easy, also makes easy to reach slide rubber seals for applying seal conditioner while on camp site.

If we hadn't had ours with us last year when our awning motor decided to quit working we would have been in trouble.

Just BTW . . . there is a 7 ft version which folds up the same way, but gives you a little more reach.

    Good stuff,

Another thing be bought were RV tire covers for when we are not camping. They are a little difficult to get on stretching them over the tires and wrapping the bungee cord around the back. But I made a long poker @ 3ft with a bent over hook on the end out of a new section of automotive brake line to reach in behind the tires to pull the bungee cord around back. Saves me from having to crawl around on the ground to reach in behind the tires to grab the bungee cord.
Be careful reaching in with your hands and arms stretching the covers over the tires, the RV side wheel well covers have very sharp corners on them.

Actually, the one from Camping World is less than Amazon. The model you referred to SLD-S6 (steps on one side only) is $99.16 from Amazon and $94.53 from Camping World with sale price and club discount. The SLD-D6 (Steps on both sides) is $142.11 on Amazon, and $142.10 from Camping World.

I just ordered the SLD-D6 from Amazon.

The $149 price we saw was at a camping world store in New Braunfels Texas. That might have been for the dual steps. Probably was.

Your post was very timely. I'd been contemplating purchasing a ladder before we hit the road next week. I knew there were collapsible ladders, but not folding ones like the ones you pointed out. Mine will be here Tuesday. Thanks for your post!

Now that's cool! Looks like a piece of rear bumper square stock. I see you have 2 of them side by side. Did you make "U" type brackets to hold the tubes to the frame? Gets it out of the cubby!

They are 5" vinyl fence post covers. I actually have 3 of them. 2 at the rear of the trailer where I store my ladder, flag pole, hiking poles, etc., and 1 more up by the sewer discharge where I store almost 50' of Rhino sewer hose.Click image for larger version.
