Andersen Ultimate locking cable mounting on a 303RLS

2014 model. I went and picked the rig up today and had to install the coupler while the previous owner waited so I used the screw for the breakaway cable to hold it in place for now.

I'm not sure where exactly I should mount it that is solid, won't damage the trailer and is convenient. Anybody got a picture or guidance?

    Thanks.

Instead of screwing it to the body panel underneath like many do, I found an old thread or comment from a transporter fellow that had to move his coupler all the time. He bought a large magnet from like Harbor Freight, 2" to 3" and bolted the coupler to the magnet and put the magnet to the side of the pin box. Works great. I do not have a picture handy but if you need it, I can get one.

Not a bad idea. Will look at that. Thanks!

I am shopping for a new tow vehicle, and will be switching to this hitch. This is a great idea, as I've been trying to decide were to mount this.

    Thanks!

I mounted mine to the underside of the Rv nose.... drilled to small holes, a little dab of black caulk and it is convenient without getting into the bed.

Works great. No it doesn't fall off!
Harbor freight magnet, two in box, pretty strong, 3" maybe?

I just re-used the screw that is holding the break-away cable system (on pin-box). Works good and didn't have to drill anywhere.

I used one of the sheet metal screws on the underside of the overhang of the fifth wheel and then tapped in another (caught a stud) and wouldn't have it anywhere else due to the fact as I pull off I can check it in the driver's rear view mirror to make sure I haven't "forgot" to lock it down. Just my $0.02
