Air Bags On Duallys Pulling Momentums

I am assuming that owners of Momentums that are 16k to 20k are pulling with dually trucks. Larger Solitude models also. I know the trucks can handle the pin weight, but how well does the truck sit as to being level? Are your headlights aiming in the air? How many have added air bags out of necessity?

They were already on the truck when I got the truck.....also has on board compressor with auto adjust and remote. I can tell you that with only having 15 psi. in the bags, it squats several inches once I raise the landing gear. Run it up to 35-40 psi to get the truck back level.

I keep mine between 40 - 50 psi and it stays level, i run around 10 psi unloaded. They arent necessary, but having it level makes for a smoother ride.

Less chucking also, when it's sitting level. Or let me say it this way......I've noticed more chucking when I forget to add air and it's down to 15 psi. That's what draws my attention to look at the gauge on my remote and add air=a smoother ride.

This picture made me aware that I am not perfectly level. So I am investigating air bags for the first time ever.

Dallas, I hope you are still only lamenting one scratch on that beautiful paint. I will be interested in a similar photo when/if you add airbags (we have 75000 miles on our Air Lift package). Hard to tell, but I think the nose of the fifth wheel is a little low but the spacing from the bed rails looks good. Eagerly awaiting an update. Safe travels!

I added bags to bring back to level. It also helps the rear end from banging into the "overload" leaf and causing a jolt and a harsh ride.

None on the trailer, a new one on the truck. Backing into a parking spot at a laundromat in Vancouver, BC. I saw the pole, didn't see the two bolts sticking our the bottom. Got cute dimples on the right rear dually wheel well.

How much of a squat did the Momentum make without the air bag?

Also, same question to D2Reid. Your picture does not look as if the truck is squatting very much.
