Re: What hitch is everyone using
B&W Companion. Upgraded to the new base design that eliminates the U-bolts and really like it. Only hitch I've used for the last 10 years.
Don't let people push you into the idea that because you have a 6' bed, you MUST use a slider. Do you need to watch a little closer when turning in tight quarters? Sure. But since my first 5th wheel in 04', there has been only 1 spot I could not back into with a non-sliding hitch. I just don't think it's worth the additional complexity and $$$.

Proptwister, how does your 3/4 ton handle that 355? thats a big heavy beast for a 3/4 ton.
I ended up buying a Reese Select Series 30081 20K. I picked it slightly used for 1/4 of new, it looks new, and works like new too.Korey SE WI

Obviously I can tell its there but I do just fine with it. Traded an 07' Raptor 3814 (15,500) that I had no problems with either.
I realize I'm over on pin weight but have no problems with it. Will probably take a hard look at a dually though.

Re: What hitch is everyone using
I have a Reese Signature Series ( actually own 3 of these) same as the Elite with the under bed rails. I pull a gooseneck trailer as well, with the Signature Series gooseneck platform. I have a Slider in my truck just in case, B&W makes a good product too.

My parts came in and I installed my rails last night. Last thing to do is pick up the trailer!! I can't wait too use it for the first time. I'm like a kid at Christmas.

I am picking my unit up on the 12th, I can't wait!! We will be packing it up that afternoon and on Sunday, then on the 25th we go out for the first time. Although I think we may camp in our yard at least one night

B&W made in the US by the hard working country community of Chanute Ks.

If you have a F series super duty with the 5th wheel prep package, you should seriously consider the B&W OEM Companion. I weighs 147lbs and will come apart in half and can be installed in 2 minutes. I leaves you a clean bed when you take it out. I can't speak for the Ram truck, but B&W makes one for them also.
