    compressor delay

Does anyone know if our air conditioner compressors have a delay built in for power interruptions? The reason I ask is because I will be installing a Progressive EMS and it has a built in time delay, 15 seconds if your air compressor has a built in delay, and 136 seconds if it doesn't. I have looked everywhere and did some searches and can't seem to find the answer I need.
    Thanks,
    Dale

Never mined, I found it on the Atwood site. The unit has a three minute delay. I knew the information had to be out there somewhere.

Just in case anyone looks - the Dometics have a built-in delay as well.

You made a good choice on the Progressive EMS.

Thanks, I appreciate the information. I have the Progressive 30 AMP plug in type that I used on my other trailer. Putting in a hardwired one on that trailer would have been too much work. It saved me more than once during bad thunderstorms where the electric would brown out then surge back on then go off. It did its job and saved me from costly damage so it more than paid for itself. I also had damage to the unit one time and the company instantly sent me the parts to repair it. They are a great company. This trailer is getting the hardwired 50 AMP box so I don't have to worry about securing it at camp sites and it is there and all I have to do is plug into the available electric.
