Hot Water on Electrical
The gas water heater works fine, but the electrical does not work. Are we missing something? Thank you. Betsy.

Re: Hot Water on Electrical
Does your HWH have a switch on the water heater itself to turn on the 120v? It is under the cover outside the RV if it has one.

Re: Hot Water on Electrical
My Reflection does not have a switch on the water heater. You might check for a thrown circuit breaker.

Re: Hot Water on Electrical
I'm probably a little confused. Your user name 'newreflect' makes me think that you have a Reflection though this is posted in the Solitude section on the forum.
The Reflections have a Atwood 6 gal gas/electric WH...no switch under the outside panel...the switches for both gas and electric operation is inside the control panel with the slide controls, level monitor, etc. If the electric side isn't working, you need to check that the 110V breaker is on and the unit is plugged into an outlet (another Reflection owner reported his unplugged). There also a chance that the electric element is burned out if you tried to power it with a empty WH.
The Solitude campers have a Suburban 12 gal gas/electric. I don't know if the 12 gal has a switch under the outside cover...I know that the 6 gal ones do.

Happy Camper, I have been posting all my questions here. Didn't realize there is a separate Reflection section.
Thanks for calling that to my attention. Betsy.

Opened the cupboard to get to the water heater and sure enough, it was not plugged in. Thanks for the tip. Betsy.
