EMS
Has anyone installed an Electrical Management System (hardwired) in a Momentum.
If so... tips, tricks, pics?
Mounting location, remote display location?
Just purchased Progressive EMS-HW50C.
Will install in April.

Re: EMS
I try to live by KIS, I bought a pedestal unit so no hardwire here. Although I hear behind the convertor is a good place for it.

Re: EMS
Make sure it will not effect your electrical warranty before you install anything.

Re: EMS
^^Understood^^
Trying to make camper operation as simple as possible for my wife.
Want "plug & play" operation since I am gone 1/3 of the time.
Burned up an A/C unit 2 years ago due to low voltage.

Make sure I will not effect your electrical warranty before you install
The directions are pretty simple . I had folks in another group I belonged to put pictures together but your going to have to open the basement area. Your incoming power will connect to your breaker or fuse panel. Basically you mount it as close to the box as possible. Take the cord from your panel and connect to the input side by the pictures. Take a 50amp graded wire equal to what your cord is and connect to breaker box. That's it but have seen where the recommendation is to use a portable from grand designs company standpoint it is the right statement because some folks probably don't have the technical ability.neither one deals with any appliance or per wired system everything is before the system. I seen a portable one on a full time site that melted because of maxing power from portable heaters but apparently a plug had come loose in the portable unit. There are pro and cons to both. Progressive advises you have a qualified person install it so that's my opinion.
