    Winnebago Destination

Has anyone seen the new Winnebago Destination 5th wheel has same floor plan as the 369RL I was Shocked. Has everything standard that I have added to my GD, But still love my Solitude and the people at Grand Design .

Well imitation is the highest form of flattery!

I don't believe that Winnebago alone is copying GD's floorplans including the big pantry!

Gosh, I looked at the specs, and the roof is R-11. Doesn't seem to be the quality of the GD. Yeah, I'm fine with what I bought. Even Heartland rigs are copying the floorplan, but there is only one GD so far. We looked at thousands of RV's before we found this one.

Sure looks like they copied it . It looks like they add the glitz plus the foundation . The frame is a 12 in frame the bed is setup on a lift for viewing TV kind of what the high end mattress folks are doing. They also do a full body paint Don't know the R factors but it's about 10 grand MSRP on the 379 FL 94k vs 84k with full body MSRP is 110k at the top of the price points. So they just added a little glitz to what GD has already done. GD has proven folks want something that last at a great price. I think they hit that. I have heard that GD was going to build a DRV killer down the road. That's the stuff hitting forums and I think it's true. GD is building a reputation as building great rigs with little problems.A lot of folks can't say that great Rig GD keep it up!

Chris looks like a typo on the roof. It's 5 in just like GD and floors are 3 just like GD. I do like the hydraulic slides and 5/8 T&G plywood same as GD I believe. Had a guy crawl under a 379FL and he said he measured 12 in frame. The 379 looks a lot like the momentum frame with 2 doors. I don't know thought it was 10 in?

It is lighter 15500 which should tell something. The GD is a great rig and if folks copy it starts somewhere. Columbus was copied by everyone with same design but better quality. GD has been copied for part of it's original design. This is great for the industry because it forces them to one up each other and baby boomers have chosen to see the country in an RV. This is the time to get into the RV business. Grand Design has a chance to change the industry and so far they are doing a great job.

I looked at the specs, and I noticed they have much smaller grey and black tanks....I wouldn't want to camp in anything with less than 90 total grey. Just too inconvenient when camping at parks without full hookup.

Yes, that's pretty awesome...especially for dry camping.
Cuttin...I'm pretty much into glamping and full hookups (or at least water and electricity)!
However, I do enjoy my views, ambiance, and scenery.
