    Dexter Axles

Visited local RV dealer today to look at the changes to the 2018 337RLS. Stuck my head under the trailer and found it had Dexter axles and Dexter E-Z Flex suspension system. Of all the changes they made for 2018, this may be the best? Has anyone else seen this change? I may be the last to hear about it.

Confirmed Dexter 7k axles on 2018 Solitude 375 today. Running Lippert Equaflex suspension.
Solitudes no longer have carpet in raised areas (bedroom & living room). Not sure if this is an option. Toured a 375 with both today.
I was told these changes were coming by GD factory a few months ago.
My understanding is this is likely a rolling change across many models.
On Solitude, entry door holder is now magnetic like baggage doors.
    Westlake G rated tires also.
    Good improvements.

Yes, this is good news. The faster GDRV can switch to a higher standard and other more reliable products and components the better GDRV products will become and the less issues we owners (and GDRV and dealers as well) will have to deal with that in too many circumstances s/n be occurring and have been talked about here and elsewhere over and over for 5 model years. Maybe the thousands of posts (just incredible !) dealing with greasy brakes issues were just too much.......wait, it is only 1%.

It would be interesting for those going to the rally to get the inside scoop from GDRV leadership and share the details.

A few weeks ago I contacted GD for info about upgrading our 4400# axles to 5200# like the 2018 model has. When I mentioned I was going to order the axles shown on the GD web site parts book this individual hinted strongly that I should be looking at Dexter axles instead of LCI. I took the advice.

It will be interesting to find out if GD is now installing them or if some how they are getting LCI to do it since the frames have been coming pre assembled with suspension and axles already installed.

I did see LCI stamped on the frame of the 337.

Baldicon, when you had your head under there, did you see if it still had Correct Track cams (octagons)?

I don't remember seeing it, but don't hold me to it. I was so stunned to see the Dexter axles and suspension I didn't notice much else.
