    Max Turn Radius

What is the Max Turn Radius of a Reflection front cap? How is this percentage determined? Mine appears to have good clearance without sliding my hitch from what little bit I have messed with it. I am just wondering what is the percentage GD claims it to be, or if they make any known percentage claim.

I believe they state 77º on a short box non-slider hitch.

With their making that statement they would have to be basing it on the truck with the shortest bed. The big 3 all have different lengths on their short beds. Dodge is the shortest at 74 inches and ford is the longest at 80 inches. So I feel good about my ford and not having a slider.

    Re: Max Turn Radius

If your getting under it harder than 77 degree your trying to break something anyway. That type of turn is murder on axles and tires. Its needed and necessary to have the clearance, but not necessary to jack knife 90 degree. I was looking at the front of mine today in the garage and just got to wondering about the exact number. These caps are not as rounded and cupped out as many on the market today.

    Re: Max Turn Radius

I am planning on purchasing a 305RE and have a couple of questions.

    1. I have a 2013 Ford F250 Diesel Power Stroke (4X4) Short Wheel Base. I currently have a Reese hitch rated at 16K. The distance from the center of my 5th wheel to the back of the cab is 46 inches. Is that going to be enough clearance on the front cap?

    2. Is my current hitch worthy of the Solitude?

    3. Will by external fuel tank be in the way?

    Please see pics.

    Thanks

    Hi @Glazier,

We do not post a "maximum turning radius" as it varies depending on your towing configuration. Micah Staley, the GM for our Reflection products, has asked that you contact him directly if you have further questions. Micah's email is [email protected].

    Best regards,

    SGTABN82,
We use the same hitch that you have to pull our 305RE.

    Thanks Janice.

SGTABN82, I think your setup is good to go. I know for a fact your fuel tank will be no problem, and Renee took care of you on the hitch question. That is a good looking hitch you have.
