Replacing Rear Shocks But Not Front Struts- Good or Bad Idea?
I have decided not to purchase a new truck but rather make some changes to my existing 2012 F-150. First thought is to change the rear shocks to Bilstein's 5100. This I can do fairly easy but changing the front struts not so. So what can i expect if I go the easy route and change just the rear. My vehicle only has 32K miles so wouldn't think the struts are worn out. Any suggestions and comments would be helpful but do reserve the right to discard any at my own discretion. LOL

I didn't realize that generation F150 had front struts. You're probably right that they're not worn out this soon. If they still had the same OEM crap shocks of years past, I'd say get new ones.
I had Bilsteins on my F250, and they didn't last any longer or do any noticable better job than some of the other big name heavy duty shocks available at RockAuto.com at half the price. I replaced mine with heavy Monroes, and I honestly don't know how Rock Auto sells'em so cheaply. Now I do have AirRide 5000's on the back end, but don't use'em often because my 323BHS doesn't squat on my truck.
