Bathroon Pocket Door Track Fell Off

Dang it! I've been having such good luck with my Solitude. There have only been a few easily fixed glitches in almost two and a half years.
Now the pocket door track has come loose from the overhead inside the pocket. The weight of the door pulled the track down far enough to crack the aluminum track just at the edge of the pocket. Getting the door out is easy enough, but I cannot reach far enough into the pocket to effect a proper repair. I might also note that the screws are awful short for that kind of load.
I am considering cutting an access hole in the hallway wall. There is already a 12 inch square cutout in the inside pocket wall in just the right place. Cover it with a nice landscape and call it a day.
If anyone has a better solution I would dearly love to hear it. I'm considered pretty handy and I have about every tool known to man, but this so far has me over a stump.
