Question About Remote Slide Control

I have a friend who bought a new 5th wheel that has a remote control for the slides on his camper. This allows him to watch clearance from the outside while deploying his slides. Can this be added to my 2016 337? If so, what recommendations do you have for this?

I asked one of the regional service managers here at Grand Design about adding a remote to deploy your slides on the 2016, Reflection, 337RLS. He said: "No you cannot, our system is not set up for it."

You have to enter the trailer to check that the slides are clear of any objects that may have shifted during travel anyway why not just use the switches at the control panel. I use a tape measure to make sure the slides won't contact objects outside before deploying slides.

Exactly. We always check for clearances before putting our slides out. As an extra caution, I have my husband outside when I deploy to yell at me, if it turns out we measured wrong (hasn't happened yet, but worth the peace of mind to do it).

Oh don't misunderstand me. My wife would never let me handle something as technical as a tape measure. I just push the buttons.
