    Whole Sale Value- Insurance purposes

    Hello All,

With Grand Design being so new and many of the models so new I don't expect any of us to let go of them, but for insurance purposes what would you all suggest the whole sale value to be for Solitude 369RL?

For whole-sale, I hear your RV depreciates 30% when you drive off the lot
I'm sure Hunter70 (Steve) will have a better answer as he sales and deals with trade-ins in his line of work.

I do have this link which if you look at the about midway you'll see a Chart that will let you open an excel spreadsheet that will allow you to input your rig's cost and it will show you the depreciation over a period of 12 years. http://www.myrv.us/pgs/rv/depreciation.htm

Now for insurance purposes, I believe you can insure your rig for the price you pay. I believe that's what we did.

Wholesale is tough on Grand Design, as they are not being shown in any of the Guide books yet...

An average of 40% under MSRP is a good start.

For insurance purposes, we always have folks use MSRP as the value, as there is no guarantee that they will be able to buy another replacement coach at the price they paid for the current one. (inflation, cost of material, etc)

    Yes, yes, I know....

Just have to get my wife to like the permanent island.

She really does like the movable island and sink against the front wall that we have now....it gives so much room when both kids are with us. One on the sofa sleeper, and one on an air mattress on the floor, and still plenty of walk around room.
