I'd recommend Peak PEROA3 Marine and RV antifreeze.

I use the Walmart brand (Super tech).
Not sure if one or other is chemically better or healthier.
That said, I splash drains with AF, blow out lines, open low point drains, and disconnect water pump. Essentially, winterize every weekend of hunting season. I do not pump AF in lines.
Interesting article on AF types:

You can usually find the "pink" RV antifreeze (propylene glycol) at Walmart and most auto parts stores and some Ace hardware stores with ratings from 0* to -25*. A couple gallons is about all you need to winterize the average trailer.

A lot depends on how cold it is going to get where you store your trailer. One caution is to read the fine print. The big print is advertising the cold temperature protection for metal pipes . . . the fine print talks about plastic pipes and fittings. For example, the common "pink" types advertise protection to -50F. The fine print tells you that this is only -10F protection for plastic. (see attached) Protection will not likely reach even this temperature because the antifreeze will be diluted with some amount of water left in the pipes. The next step is usually rated at -100F for metal and something colder than -10F for plastic. Interesting that their website does not give the plastic protection information that shows up on the label.
I use Starbrite -100F for storing my boat. http://www.starbrite.com/item/100-no...anti-freeze-pg Available at most northern marine supply places. I take the RV to Florida . . . problem solved .
