    Re: Recall - Door Locks

The Grand Design locks are Global Link. The Fastec locks in the recall look just like the Global Link and the Global Link web site states it is a direct replacement for the Fastec. The key code for my GL lock is the same key code as one of the recalled Fastec lock key codes. Looks like the GL (being a direct replacement) has the same problem as the recalled Fastec.

I haven't tried it and it's out at my storage area right now. That may have been what happened with my wife. Regardless, needs fixed.

Yepper...it's the way I read it.

Does your dead bolt key come out at the 9 o'clock position? Mine did not so I guess I'm good even with the same key #?

I went out and tried it today before we took it to the dealer. Yes it came out at the 9:00 position. I'm thinking possibly they are all made at the same place.
It's at the dealer now and the key/door lock issue was near the top of our short list for them.
