    Water Under Bathroom Sink

    2015 320X

Mystery. All fresh water and drain connections are tight and dry.

Appearance of water on floor seems related to use of cold water faucet.

Could the problem be in the fixture somehow?

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Notice there are no replies to this. How much water? Can you run cold water and see it dripping under the sink? If it is not much water, could it be condensation?

I had the same problem and could not find the reason for it. I finally brought it into the dealership and found out that when the water-heater is turned on it creates additional water pressure and water will leak from connections you thought were tight. They replaced the fixture in the bathroom and the leak stopped.

    John, thanks for the feedback.

Grand Design provided a new fixture, which I've now installed. The system has been under pump pressure now for five days and no water is evident on the floor.

I haven't turned on the water heater yet. I can understand why the pressure might increase with the water heater when one isn't hooked up to a hydrant. But it's not clear how the pressure would increase when hooked up to an outside water source- unless there's a check valve in the water inlet. (?)

I'll try turning on the water heater and report back.

    Thanks again.

We had a problem with water under the bathroom sink when the water was running at the faucet - not when turned off. It turned out that I had not gotten the strainer/aerator seated well the last time I had it out to clean and water was spraying back up inside the fixture (which is hollow except for the water passage to the strainer/aerator) and down the back side into the cabinet under the sink. Easy fix.

    Thanks, Rob.

That might've been the problem, although there was no evidence of water coming from anywhere I could see.

Maybe the new fixture will fix it.

The person at the Grand Design customer service desk said he'd heard of water on the floor with no visible leaks or wetness anywhere. He too suspected the fixture so he sent me a new one.

Hoping it stays dry under there now.

    Thanks again for the response.

P.S. I too have installed LR G tires. Worth every penny.

I too have this bathroom sink problem on odd occasions. Once it even happened after i was doing a lot of dishes in kitchen with hot water. I hadn't used sink or shower all day yet. Quite a large puddle coming from under front. Then at times it just happens. Hasnt happened for a couple of weeks now but its happened 5 times since July. Full time RV. We always use city water. pressure varies. Last time the pressure was low. This M349 is only 2 months old. I will have to contact them.

Early on we had two water leaks under the island, which the dealer fixed.

Yours has me stumped. Unless as ajohnsouza suggests it may be related to the hot water heater.

Pls post what Grand Design has to say. The person there I talked to was "Ray."

    Thanks for the response.

'Ray' at Grand Design is an excellent person in Customer Service to talk to. I'm not sure which model you have but on ours the bathroom sink-faucet wall is opposite the bedroom. On the bedroom side there is a designer strip of wood about 6" high and 5 ft long. If you remove about 10 screws that strip will come off and you will see the back-side of the faucet. It's a good way to check the connections for tightness and leaks...John

Thanks John. So far, no evidence of water with the new fixture.
