suspension
Has anyone experienced a problem with their suspension? On my unit, the drivers side suspension is 2 1/2 inches lower than the passengers side. Also the rear tire is within 1/2 inch of the fender skirt (it has moved back). The passenger side has over 2 1/2 inches of room. We just brought it home in December and have only made 2 short trips with it since then. The unit is now in the shop awaiting inspection. We were advised by them that they have never seen this before on any of the Grand Design RVs.

We wanted to give an update to our situation. Our Solitude is still with the repair shop. They have been in touch with GD and have figured out the problem and are working on the method of repair. Jordan from GD has contacted us and has assured us that they will get this repaired. We are feeling much better about the situation. We absolutely love this RV and look so forward to many many memories made with it.

Re: suspension
Wow. That sounds pretty serious. Hard to say for sure, but the axel may have come loose from the spring allowing the axel to slide back on the spring. This would explain why that side sits lower and the wheel is further back. Lippert Components (maker of the chassis) along with Grand Design will no doubt make it right.

Wanted to provide another update to our problem. Our repair shop coordinated with Grand Design and concluded that the drivers side leaf springs were weak. GD made the decision to replace both sides, going above and beyond, even though the other side showed no failure. We brought our unit home yesterday and look forward to our first real road trip in 1 week.

Thanks for the updates Jim. It's really nice to hear how Grand Design goes the distance to support their dealers and customers!
