In addition to Milwaukee Inflator; I keep a Viair Inflator under truck seat that connects to truck battery. The Viair comes in several different models and get great reviews. Still like the portable Milwaukee for quick top offs and to check camper and truck tire pressure, there are no cords running to truck battery - very portable and easy to use. The Milwaukee is my first choice but if I need more air volume I can pull out the Viair and use it.

I bought the Kobalt inflator from Lowes last week. I have to say that I wish I'd have gotten one of these years ago. I topped off all my travel trailer tires, the spare, another flat bed trailer and its spare and my wife's car in short order. It works like a champ and the air pressure gauge seems completely accurate (I double checked with my accurate digital tire gauge). I used an extension cord on AC power. It does slow down a bit when approaching 80 psi, but still saved me a lot of time messing around with a compressor and a tire gauge. At $50 it's a steal IMO and will make it easy to top off tires when traveling.

Integrated the VIAIR 200 PSI Ultra Duty Onboard Air System to the bottom of my truck. Also has the PneumaticPlus PPF3-N02B Air Filter to keep water & moisture out of the tires.

If you are looking at light and easy to use on the road. Ryobi now has two different compressors that run on batteries. I bought one that handles my tire pressures, but they have since brought out a better one.

It should be noted that even the better of these two Ryobi pumps only puts out .5 SCFM at 90psi and doesn't even specify its output at the 110psi many trailer tires need.

By comparison, the VIAIR pump in @Maddog55's post preceding yours has well over double that output, yet will still take as much as ten minutes to inflate an RV tire from zero to 110psi. The Ryobi pump would likely take at least three times as long and would be seriously struggling as it passed 100psi... just topping up tires would be a long process with it.

The Ryobi looks like a cheap solution for $100, until you do the math and realize you're getting what you paid for.

I purchased one of these a couple months back, it may have been on your recommendation from a previous post.If so, thanks for the tip. Anyway, I heard about it here. Used it on our last trip to top up tires on the trailer and TV, 80 psi. I'm happy with it, had no trouble adding 5 psi to 6 tires in a row. Fits under the back seat of the truck. I installed an SAE connector on the pump and at the tongue of our 38ft long trailer and can easily reach all the tires. It's not blazingly fast but IIRC, it only took about a minute for each tire. Good inexpensive option.

I carry my trusty little Porter-Cable pancake compressor. I keep it in the backend of my Suburban. It has never failed to do what I need done.

For those of you with the Viair AND a dually, it can be a genuine PITA to try and inflate that inside tire with the thread-on hose that comes with the compressor. I simply couldn't get my hand in there to inflate the tire. Had to take the tire off to get to it. I have now purchased these two items from Amazon that solved the problem:

The Tank valve cap has the built-in tool to remove the valve, thus allowing it to pass through directly.
