I have the Progressive 50amp hard wire version on my Reflection. Only frustration I have is that using a 30amp pigtail on the 50amp cord will make it fault and you have to “bypass” the EMS...which leaves you with nothing but surge protection. Luckily only real time I have to use the 30amp pigtail is my home/storage plug in and when boon docking on a generator. Other than that small issue I am pleased with the Progressive.

Well maybe the 30 amp pig tail is a problem, it does it consistently when using it. I am way far from an electrician, so I probably cannot figure it out myself...wear rubber shoes, poke it with a wooden stick, dont cross the streams, and always make sure the flux capacitor has power is my general play book.

I checked and it shows E 1 followed by PE 1. Then cycles both lines, 125 volts, 60hz on each

Okay, thank you. Why the same fault when using the 30 amp pigtail with the generator?

Could be the wiring into the EMS too. On a 50A, you have 2 hots one neutral. On a 30A, you have 1 hot, 1 neutral. But if the wiring is such that the EMS is looking for the "other hot" on the 30A neutral, I could see how that might happen. Trying to work it out in my head, thinking of how it could be wired, but I think you could wind up with a working system but the neutral in the "wrong place" for the EMS. A 50A is L1/L2/N/G. A 30A is L1/N/G. If your getting it on every 30A connection, my money is on the pigtail (easy thing to check) followed by the EMS wiring itself. Either way, it should not happen, my 50A Progressive EMS (not hardwired) works fine on 50/30 and even 15A circuits. Thing is, the 50A model has 4 wires going in, and a 30/15 connection only has 3 wires, so there are several ways it could be "wrong" but still deliver power. My bet is wiring to the EMS itself, just because pigtails are so stupid simple, it would take a real stroke of genius to miswire that.
