    outside compartments locks

Just bought a Solitude 375RES 3 weeks ago and am having an issue with the locks, anyone else? When we went to pick it up 1 was hard to open, after we got it home 3 days later that lock would not open (back compartment) now we have 3 that will not unlock. Wondering if it is a problem with our keys not being cut right or a bad batch of locks.

Lubricate the locks. Squirt some graphite lock lubricant or even WD-40 into the key holes and put the key in and work it a little.

That worked for me. Locks were very rough when new. They work great now.

Be careful with WD40 in locks . . . it washes away any original lubricant and works really well for a while . . . until it evaporates and the lock mechanism will be worse than ever. Better to use a lubricant specifically designed for locks, such as the graphite suggested.

Mine were very hard to use at first and getting worse. Bought some lock lube spray with graphite at Lowes, gave each a good squirt and they work just fine now.

A dry graphite powder made especially for lock cylinders is the way to go, it's made by Hillman and available at most hardware stores where they sell keys. Working for a GM dealer all my career it has always been taboo to introduce any type of liquid lube into a lock cylinder. Mine were difficult to get the key in and even when I did could barely turn them, a few "puffs" of the powdered graphite and they are working like a charm.
