I looked for the guy that posts "Bourbon!". Surely there's room on the cleaning committee for those who choose a different adult beverage? (I'll have Jameson, thank you very much.)
Seriously, the post recommending the ceramic coating has hit on possibly the ultimate solution. Not cheap, but if the bugs "bug" you, cleaning them off a ceramic coating will make life much easier.

Not hi-jack your thread, but your comment above reminded me that I too have sent A LOT of bad juju vibes to whoever the design engineer is at Ford who came up with the dipstick tube adapter design with the o-ring on the inside of the oil pan that swells and leaks over time. If you've owned a 7.3 you probably know what I'm talking about

I just did ceramic coating on my truck and the bugs really don't stick to it. They just bounce off. Synthetic waxes will have a similar effect but they will not last as long as a ceramic coating.

About the only thing I don't like about our 303 is the black cap. I have owned a black car or two but not for over 30 years. I like my stuff to look good but black looks dirty even after a night in the garage. My problem with the cap of our coach is not so much bugs as rock chips. I can deal with the bugs but how rocks can get up that high, without chipping the truck paint or windshield is beyond me. Luckily, a black Sharpie after each washing makes it look ok from the ground. Guess you can't have everything and if the black cap is all I can find to dislike...I'm golden.
