    Slide retraction question

I picked up our new Imagine yesterday. I asked the dealer what I would do if the battery died and I could not retract the slide. They told me that I would have to recharge the battery or get a new one.
I asked if there was some type of emergency way to retract the slide and they said there was no way to do it.

Are they serious? What would I do it had an electrical problem and I could not get the slide back in? Is there a way to retract the slide so I could at least get it to a dealer?

On our Reflection there is , it involves manually cranking in the slide ,bring your slide out and go underneath and look around . Your manual should tell you how. Ours has 1 1/2” holes on body of camper where a crank can be used . https://youtu.be/o_3vc0STmfI

For the slide(s) that have the long toothed rack (usually Kitchen, Living Room) there's the hand crank and Hex nut tied into the slide mechanism, but apparently a lot of force can be created by hand. http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f7...s-10564-2.html

If it is just a dead battery, you can still plug into truck or shore power to run the slides.

Good tip, easy to get stumped sometimes when the answer is right there.

The Imagine uses the Schwintek slide system, and yes, you would need to get some form of electric back into the coach.

Either plug it in to 120, plug into truck, or charge battery.
