Satellite Hookup Question on '16 Solitude G384K
Having a hard time getting my DirecTV receiver in living room to see DirecTV SWM Satellite. I have the cable from the Satellite plugged into the single coax input in the utility center along with the booster and the DirecTV receiver hooked up to the Satellite port in the entertainment center in living room.
.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated

I'd first pull the faceplates in both locations and insure the connections are tight. In my 380TH, the 4 satellite connections are direct runs with no splitters involved, so if yours is the same the connectors should be the only weak point.

...plus the poor quality and long runs of coax used by GD. There's a lot of signal loss there. I had to bypass the trailer wiring for satellite altogether and ran quad-shield coax directly from a "hull-through" in the bottom of the slide under the entertainment center to the back of the satellite receiver. Haven't had a problem since.

You only have "one" coax jack in the utility center? Your unit might very well be different. On my Reflection, I have three, Cable/Living Room/Bedroom. For my satellite service, I need to run the cable from the satellite dish to the connection labeled living room.
Also, just to check and make sure you don't have an equipment problem, you might run your coax directly from your dish to your receiver and bypass the trailer wiring. If it works with a direct hook up, you'll know you have a connection problem somewhere in the coach.

Well, I guess you figured it out for most of us. Thank you for the post. I too just bought a Tailgater dish and had it working just fine during initial setup running coax direct, Then I went to hook the coax up in the convenience center so I wouldn't be tripping over it every time I walked inside and No more TV! I will bypass all the cables at this point and run my own. Thanks again for your post.
