Congrats Butch. Seems like GD is listening to some of the owners suggestions. My July build, the camera was still wired to 12v all the time. Hopefully you will have some time left in the season to enjoy your baby.

Butch,
We picked our 303 up from Coachlight RV on Friday (10/20/17), also bought from Dave. A great PDI and all issues resolved except some bent steps which have been ordered. Would not hesitate to recommend them.Geoff and Cheri

Thanks all, I and the wife have been busy loading it up. We are going to do our shake down right in our area next to our shop. We have water, 50 amp service and when I need to dump tanks just pull up the driveway a bit and I have a sewer dump there. So once we get everything settled down we are going to spend a few nights and days in it.
GeoffnCheri,
Dave sure seems to be a good guy and there was no high pressure there. My wife wasn't ready to run out when we started to deal. Our PDI went great also. There were only a couple of items that they took care right then. I just noticed I have a broken screw that they twisted the head off. It just happens to be on the bottom of the dinette right at the front. So I'll have to take care of it.
Where in NWA do you folks live? We live in Bentonville. We moved here a little over 6 years ago from NW Montana.Butch

This is a post I sent a guy yesterday about my experience with a slide topper this past Monday.
We have a 2950RL, 2017 and we love it! I just wanted other 2950 and 2970 owners to not let the factory or even RV dealers tell you that you can't put a slide topper on the curb side slide because of the slide awning! I have been working for over a year and a half racking my brain as to how to put a topper on that slide. When it rains it even sounds different than the rain hitting the roof? I called Grand Design, they said no, my dealer said no, I sent pictures literally all over the country trying to get someone to tell me how to put a topper on that slide. We have one on the kitchen slide every since we bought it, but I always hated the fact, especially every time it rained or in the fall that we did not have a topper on the curb side awning. Finally a couple of weeks ago a local (Georgia) mobile RV repair guy came out and said "sure we can put a topper on that!" We purchased the same type that I had on the other side, and A&E Dometic, black and mounted the topper brackets on the actual slide flange. I know what you are thinking, "you can't put the brackets on the slide flange!" Even in the A&E installation instructions they say if you have to install the brackets on the slide flange make sure you go into structure of the slide. The slide flange is 5 inches wide but the first 2 inches are actually the edge of the slide structrue, actually stronger than putting the brackets on the wall of the slide where all topper brackets are mounted. We also actually used the gutter groove that your main awning fastens to so I have a good slope and I didn't have to put additional holes in the camper wall for the traditional topper fabric bracket! It looks great and even better now the slide is protected. We did have to be careful not to put the roller tube bracket to close to the main awning, but it clears it by a coupe of inches and also clears the slide awning by a couple of inches. I do have pictures on my phone I can send to anyone who has any interest. One slide topper guy I was talking to in Oregon who also ownes an Imagine said he was going to send the pictures I sent him to a friend of his who works for Grand Design and let them know it can be done!

We have a new 2018 Reflection 303. My Furrrion camera won’t work when hooked up to my truck but it does work when the trailer is plugged into electricity. Furrion told me the wiring must be hooked up to a different power source other than the running lights. I’m not understanding what you said about yours being hooked up to the marker lights. What are marker lights and how did your camera power up to your truck. Thanks

Marker/Running Lights are the yellow lights across the top at the back of the trailer. . . . I spliced the camera wire to the center light. . . . .
