    2800BH Queen Size Mattress

We pick up our new 2800 this weekend. Seems like, after reading several posts, that the queen mattress is not the most comfortable. I was going to go ahead and get a memory foam topper from Sam's. My question is....Does a regular queen memory foam topper fit the bed? I read where this is a queen "short"? I'm not sure what size memory foam I should buy.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I ended up getting it over in Clarksville. They ended up with a better price, and they are closer for service. Your sales girl was great to work with....the combination of price and distance was the difference. I guess time will tell on the service end. Thank You for trying to help me! Maybe we could get together sometime, I owe you lunch!

Maybe the new ownership made them smarter and they replaced some employees. They gave me one price, high, and would not even listen to me saying I have a better price elsewhere.

I emailed my salesperson about something else and she said you decided to wait. LOL I had read this thread so I told her I'm not so sure about that.

No worries. Holler if you have any questions. I just did a mod to add a dimmer to the V lights this past weekend while camping. They are just so stinking bright from the factory.

I'm going to put 2 dimmers on mine, awning and interior. Saw them on facebook.

We had talked about waiting to buy, but I read where the price in higher in the spring because everyone is buying then. It cost the dealers money to sit units on lot until the spring. Then the GM at Campers Inn called me after I had visited there a couple weeks before. After some negotiating, we decided to go for it. Again, time will tell. I didn't email her back to tell her yet. She was so nice!

Yeah I saw where people are doing that. I don't mind the interior lights brightness. Personally I would much rather have the toggle switches than the rotary switches. I changed my awning switch out to a lighted blue one so I would know they are one. If I dimmed the awning lights I would probably use the same dimmer I used for the V lights. It would just go behind the convenience center panel. For the V lights I put another switch in the camper next to the bed along with an indicator light so they are 3 way.

    BTW, she knows now. Oops.

No problem, I really don't know her. I tried everywhere to get an indoor storage spot. No luck, so I reserved an outdoor slot in a gated lot here in Oldham. Are you storing yours in doors? If not.....I can't decide on a cover or not. I've read good and bad both ways.

I've seen so many mods on the Grand Design Owners Forum and facebook I want to do. I bought the fantastic fans and they are going to install them for me Saturday. I also might order a couple cabinet doors for the shelves in the bathroom that I saw. Looks great and holds stuff in place. Also, a memory foam pad for the bed. Money, Money Money!!!
