Bathroom furnace vent blows directly into return?

We've been using our furnace quite a bit on this trip. It gets cold out west in the desert at night. Several times I've wondered why on the 337 the bathroom furnace vent is in a corner, directed at the floor directly at the return air vent behind the toilet. Seems that little heat is going to actually flow into the bathroom area. Is this on purpose? I'm thinking of at least turning the vent 90 deg to have it blow to the side and more into the bathroom. Maybe even point it upward? Just wondering if anyone else has wondered about the placement and orientation of the bathroom furnace vent.

I just took off the vent and rotated it so that it blows out towards your feet, most logical direction. Grand Design needs to educate their installers

I turned it so the air flow is up. Seems to make it a little warmer in the bathroom.

I'm not sure how much warmer it would actually be, since warm (hot) air rises (why the vent is on the floor level). Sending the hot air directly up upon exiting the vent means the hot air has to collect at the ceiling before getting down to the space in the room where bodies actually are. Much less warming up feet.

I find the vent in the bathroom nice as it blows on the rug on the floor, warming it up in the morning before I take my shower.
