Trim - Cutting
Planning a project and every thing was falling into place when it hit me I wouldn’t be cutting real wood.
Anyone have any experience with cutting the vinyl/paper covered trim?
I’m thinking tape over the area to be cut and the finest (most teeth per inch) saw blade I can find.
Also wondering if scoring the vinyl/paper with a knife before cutting would be beneficial.Colan and Marilyn Arnold

You are thinking correctly. Be careful on the tape as some can pull the vinal off too. If you use a sharp enough razer knife and a good straight edge you can do the entire cut that way.

Hi Colan,
I was able to cut the vinyl covered hardboard trim with a sharp table saw blade without tearing the vinyl covering.
