Values on Black and Grey Tanks are hard to open

Hello all; new to sight, we have had our 2014 reflection 5th wheel for 3 yrs; any ideas how to get the values on the black and grey tanks to loosen up. We add good chemicals and rinse on a regular basis and do not leave open. Anyway to lube them without tearing open the bottom. Thanks in advance!

I lubricate the cables occasionally with a spray silicone lube and haven't had any problems. It seems to wick up the cable.

I'm sure someone has a cure if the valve body is sticking. I'd be tempted to jack up the right side of the RV then dump 3 or 4 gallons of used turkey fryer oil (this is Texas) in the toilet or sink and let the valve soak in it.

Even if it doesn't work, it might be a good way to get rid of the rancid oil. I tried burning it in my Kuboda diesel tractor and it ran well except that the exhaust smelled like french fries and made me hungry. I was feeling pretty smug about how much I was saving on diesel until the fuel filter clogged up with turkey fat. The new fuel filter cost three times what I saved on fuel.

It sounds like you always keep some water in them, which is good. Some on here recommend occasionally dumping some cooking oil down the drains to lubrucate the valves. Dish soap in the black tank may also help your black tank valve.
