    Steady Fast Wobble Stopper

Has anyone installed the Steady Fast system to stop the "wiggle" when the rig is set up on a site? Research is promising and the design makes a lot more sense, in terms of eliminating or minimizing movement, than anything else I've seen. There are two places in the bottom of the frame that require bolt holes being drilled. Would that void any warranty or is that a question for the frame manufacturer? Any guidance or shared experience would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Re: Steady Fast Wobble Stopper

I had the SteadyFast system on our last camper, a Rockwood 5th wheel and was very satisfied with the system. I've kept that set-up and will be installing it come warmer weather. I can't answer whether it voids the frame warranty or not.

    Hi @Tumbleweeds, Dave (@Happy Camper),

The frame warranty is covered by Lippert, and therefore any modifications or additions to their frame should be discussed with them directly regarding any possible impact on warranty coverage. Their Customer Service team can be reached at (574) 537-8900.

Thanks Janice. LCI will probably tell us that SteadyFast would void their frame warranty but JT Strong Arm stabilizers (that they sell) are the only system that doesn't! :P

I've installed the Steady Fast stabilizer system from our old camper unto our 337. I had to do some modification of the foot for the rear bar so it would clear the spare tire when the rear gear are retracted. The camper feels much more solid with the Steady Fast stabilizers in place.

Dave - so did you just have to replace the stock foot pad with the Steady Fast foot pad or were there more modifications you had to make for the spare tire clearance? I have the Steady Fast on my soon to be traded in Avalanche and I am sure I will want to put the SteadyFast on the Reflection also. It really made a big difference on the Avalanche.

All I had to do was drill another set of holes in the foot for the 1 1/2" U bolts that fit up inside the tube and the hitch pin goes through, so the foot is 1 1/2" further forward than normal. I had to enlarge an existing hole at the toe end to mount the bar-end swivel. The bar clamp bracket is mounted 1 1/2" behind the rear shackle on the opposite frame rail.

It seems from comments I've read on other forums that they all are good at reducing camper movement. The reason I chose Steady Fast initially was the ease of installation and the simplicity of only 3 bars for the stabilizing the whole camper.

    Hi Dave,

In the first picture, are the bolts self tapping into the frame or do they have nuts on the top? If nuts, how did you get them on the inside bolts?
