These are not exactly the same as OEM, but they do work well.

The OE switch is a 30 amp switch and the one referenced above is a 16 amp. Amazon does have the 30 amp. I made the same mistake when my OE switch died and I replaced with the 16 amp. However so far it is working. I did however reorder the 30 amp to have on hand. My advice is to order the 30 amp right from the get go

I'm sure you can get one from your dealer but I'd bet it'll me over $50. The one one Amazon will work perfectly and only costs $15

I've purchased three of these switches and they are indeed 30 amp switches. The documentation on the page is incorrect and I've notified the seller, but they haven't made the corrections.

Can't explain it, but the switch I bought off of Amazon is clearly imprinted"16 amp. " on the switch. Maybe there just is a big box of 'em, 16 & 30 amps all thrown in together??
I didn't even know there was different amp switches when I ordered it as the description just said Fifth Wheel Landing Gear Switch so I just ordered that. It wasn't until I read this topic that I discovered there was.

The rocker type switches depicted in the Amazon link(s) above are mechanically superior to the OEM switches used by GD. The original switches use a very small diameter plastic rod/plunger to actuate the switch inside the casing. The true rocker type switches are much stronger. I had to replace the switch for my front landing gear and did it with one of the better designs. I have another of the better switches in my parts bin for when the switch on the rear landing gear goes kaput.

As i think about this now, I remember looking the OE switch a couple of years ago. I don't think lippert sells just the switch. You have to buy the entire wire harness and switch kit. It's like $100 or so. I didn't think anymore about it until my switch went out last month and just got the aftermarket switch from Amazon.

My rear stabilizer switch went bad, so I ordered a spare/replacement thru my dealer. Part was $12, shipping was $30. I am assuming that this spare 30Amp switch can be used for either the front or rear.
