    Bathroom Door Gap

I don't appreciate the gap in the bathroom door when it is closed. There is a brief small window of time when someone coming into the camper could catch a glimpse of someone in the shower and that makes my wife nervous. Has anyone successfully done anything to block that gap?

What gap, the one at the bottom of the door? It allows air into the bathroom when the fan is on. I suppose you could lower the door, re-cut the striker plate, and have the gap at the top of the door.

I'm talking about the gap closest to the sink, the side of the door when the door is slid shut. There's an annoying 1" gap where someone could see in the bathroom that drives me crazy. The door overlaps the wall as it should, but I just want that gap tighter, or gone somehow. Bought some weather stripping to attempt a fix, we'll see how it goes.

John - Any chance you can post a picture? Those of us who don't own a 2600RB might be able to come up with some ideas if we can see the gap you're talking about.

Sounds like the slider is out an inch from the wall. Why not add a 2" piece of wood to the side of the slider? I would install it about 1" from the end of the door. That way you'd block all angles.
The door would shut up next to the added piece and the same when it closes.
Stain it the same color and spray some semi gloss poly on it.
Even a piece of angle trim would work.

Get a rubber door stop and slide it under the door from the inside of the bathroom while holding the door under the buttom. This not only keeps the gap closed, it also keeps the dog from opening door at the worst time. Also make sure the guide at the bottom of the is pushed in the whole way

Jim I believe he's talking about a gap on the pocket side. When the door is closed, I believe he's saying there's a gap on the back side of the door (closest to the pocket).

AJ, if the gap is really 1", if the weather strip doesn't work, you might want to try a length of bulb seal.

Looking at the floor plan for the 2600RB it appears that the bathroom door is a sliding door mounted on the outside wall. It's not a pocket door or a standard door with a jamb. It looks like it overlaps the outside of the bathroom wall. The bathroom door on our 337 is a real pocket door with a magnetic latch. The bathroom door on our 2800BH was a standard hinged door with a typical door knob that needed to be turned to open.

I could see where with the door on a 2600RB slid "closed" someone entering the trailer may be able to see into the shower through a daylight gap.
