A topic over in new members introductions got me thinking. Other than camping what intrests to we all have.

I am a music guy myself. I play a number of stringed instruments and have played on and recorded a couple of projects and CDs that were released locally.

I am also kind of a car guy. I love my classic BMWs and Americian muscle.

I share your interest in stringed instruments (I wish I shared your talent) and American muscle cars. I was into drag racing for many years and just sold everything last December. With our interest in camping there just wasn't any time left for racing.

Great thread. I am an avid golfer, I have been playing since in my 20's and have at times carried a handicap as low as 1. Now that I'm in my 60's that's gone to about 8. My other interest was drag racing. I built a '67 Chevelle B gas car from the ground up. One of my carriers was as a engine builder and mechanic for GM so I was able to design and build the engine for my car. A 496ci 900hp injected on alcohol motivator. It got to expensive, I retired and gave it up.

Nice. I like old military iron. Back when I was hunting and living in PA one of the hunting vehicles was an old WWII ambulance on a power wagon frame. The only thing that would stop that thing was two tree that it could get between or climb over.

I had a 68 charger for a while, but have no pictures of it anywhere.

I also have a '48 Ferguson tractor that I use around the house to maintain my lane and do odd jobs. It needs some restoration work which may be coming this spring.

I grew up tuning hotrod Chevys. I helped my father operate our dairy farm for 20 years. He and I retired from that in 1985 and I started up a Euro car repair and tuning shop.

Fishing, camping, biking, gardening, snowmobiling and last but not least, visiting grandkids take up my time when I’m not in the shop.

My other interest is Jeeping. I run my Jeep at Silver Lake Sand Dunes, MI and trails in that area. I have a seasonal camp site in that area. I keep my camper there year round. My Jeep stays there during the dune ORV season and safe in my garage during the winter. Sand gets in everywhere so it creates plenty of maintenance work on the Jeep keep me busy in the winter. And of course, I always find something on the Jeep I want to upgrade, so those are winter projects too.

I of course love camping, also have a touring kayak that I like to use. I also play golf, hike, and bike, like most outddor activities. I just cannot carry my kayak with my fifth wheel which is a problem. Ususally use a tent or rent a cabin if I just go kayaking. I also love taking pictures.

Fun thread, guess we need an off topic section now that the board is growing.
I don't work on hot rods but do keep my hands busy with sharp knives and hot pens. I dabble in Wood carving and Pyrographics (wood burning).

Why can't you take your kayak with you. This is of my previous rig and tow vehicle, but you get the idea. Actually carrying the kayaks will be easier with the crew cab!
